Top ho, chaps & chapesses

Not a lot to report, those of you who race will hopefully have your race programs by now & will know what’s happening on Friday night & Saturday mornings, in case you don’t the programs are on the website – www.ebymbc.org.nz.  The weather looks promising for the weekend, so on the water with ye…

But on the subject of racing, the sailing committee are short of both start box officials & rescue boat crew, & without these folk, we don’t race. So if you, or anyone you know have time to help out, t’would be much appreciated, full training will be provided.  Gary Wagstaff is the man to talk to garywagstaff@xtra.co.nz, or 387-2477.

Membership & storage fees, quick reminder once again, if you haven’t paid these, please do, we do hate sending out harsh letters, not to mention how much time is involved in following up on late payers.  So lets save everyone time & frustration & pay those fees.  If you aren’t intending to renew your membership or have removed your boat, please let us know in writing – admin@ebymbc.org.nz, we hate to lose you, but its simpler all round if you let us know what’s going on.

Saturday, 29th November

Christmas Party.  Our big annual social event.  Dancing, drinking (alcoholic or non, whatever hoists your spinnaker), eating, merrymaking, dancing & more dancing.  This is our big night.  Tickets are on sale at the bar, but we do insist on cash up front.  Love to see you all there.

And remember, the buzz word for the month is security.  Tie down your boat, lock everything that can’t be removed, & remove everything that can be.  Thieves by definition have no morals, they will take whatever you let them, so please folks, the wheel clamp is your friend & the padlock is his first cousin.  Don’t let the beggars win.

Happy sailing all.  Be good.
