EBYMBC Communications Newsletter
8 March 2010
Hi everyone,
In case you haven’t been down to the Club recently (and we would have to ask why not if you haven’t), you may not be aware of how busy the Club is over the next few weeks.
Last weekend
The Club hosted the 12ft Skiffs Class Championship – amazing to see those boats fly (almost literally) downwind with the kite up! Thanks to everyone who volunteered and great to see some Academy members get stuck in – well done team!
Sailability Have A Go Day - Friday 19th
Sailability Wellington are organising a 'Have a Go' day this Friday March 19th. This day is being organised so that new groups or individuals of all abilities can give sailing a go at Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club.
There is no fee for involvement in this day and there are plenty of experienced volunteers and boats lined up and ready to go.
Their boats are specially designed so that people of all abilities can use them, the club as you know is fully accessable and there will be a hoist and slings if people need to be lifted into the boats.
If you know anyone that may be interested in getting involved ask them to contact Orla on sailabilitywgtn@xtra.co.nz or 021 1071703 for more details.
